We develop our wine with the greatest of care, taking into account the effects of both the earth and sky on the grapes and wine. While in the vineyard, we only use organic fertilizers, manually harvest the fruit and meticulously select our grapes. Once in the cellar, we gently handle our wines, which are regulated according to a gravity-fed system.
Our Winery, passed from generation to generation since the 14th century, extends over 30 acres. In our years of work we have demonstrated our perseverance, and in our search for excellence we aim to offer you nothing less than the very best possible wine.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape Click here to see additional Tasting Notes
This wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.
Grenache is the most used grape variety in Chateauneuf du Pape. More than 70% of the vines today are Grenache. On every estate in Chateauneuf du Pape, this grape is planted in more than 50% of the field and some of the estates make wine only from this grape. Syrah and Mourvedre are most suitable to blend with Grenache. Both of them bring color and structure to the wine. Syrah brings structure and deep color to the wines. The same thing can be said about Mourvedre. Both grapes also bring ability to age well to the wines. Both grapes are planted more and more in Chateauneuf du Pape and this will probably also be the case in years to come.
Grenache brings some roundness and elegance to these "hard core" grapes.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape Fiancee Click here to see additional Tasting Notes
The cuvee called Fiancee is a blend of old vine Grenache (70- to 80-year-old head-pruned vines) and 50% Syrah. This is a completely different take on Chateauneuf du Pape that comes across as somewhat modern-styled, opulent and sexy. The 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Fiancee is a dark ruby purple with notes of blackberry, cassis, espresso, and sweet cherry. The wine is round, delicious, low in acidity, and plump in a distinctively modern style Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
A new estate to reckon with, proprietors Christian and Julien Barrot come from a good winemaking family, and I believe these are the first wines they have presented for tasting. There are three cuvees from their 30 acres.

Imagine a corner of land filled with century-old vines and purest, sandy soil... The resulting wine, 100% Grenache, represents an homage to Chateauneuf du Pape and its most celebrated grape varietal. It embodies delicacy, an escape, a synthesis of subtle flavors: strawberries, cherries, licorice, a hint of spice. It signifies the perfect balance between kindness and strength.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve Click here to see additional Tasting Notes
This wine is a product of Chateauneuf du Pape. It embodies both the fullness and the finesse of many complex aromas. It is at once an invitation to travel and a heightening of the senses. This Domaine La Barroche Reserve is the result of blending 100-year-old Grencache, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Syrah Varietals. It offers a subtle mixture of spices and well-ripened black fruit flavors, mingled with cocao dry fruit overtones.
