Our 2002 Cabernet exhibits a classic Napa Valley nose; aromas of black and wild cherries are accompanied by toasty oak. On the palate, it is rich and bright with cassis and black cherry flavors. The flavors are well integrated with excellent balance. Ripe tannins contribute to a wonderful mouth feel and elegant finish.

The wine opens with dark, rich plum and raspberry aromas with creamy vanilla oak and overtones of clove, nutmeg, and spearmint. On the palate, it expresses the intense varietal character of old vine Zinfandel, with raspberry jam flavors. Ripe mid-palate tannins contribute to a lively rolling texture and the promise of further development with age. It is very well balanced with a long, luscious finish.
